The Gone Wild Festival never fails to live up to its name… but this year? It was on another level.
From the moment we rolled into Norfolk with the vans packed to the brim, the energy was electric. Families, adventurers, and first-timers all buzzing for a weekend of pure fun, connection, and a little… okay, a lot… of bravery.
We set up TWO roaring lanes of fire, our unique mini golf course, and the Firewalk Events wellness area – the perfect mix of thrill, challenge, and calm. By Friday night, the coals were glowing, the music was in full swing, and the crowd was ready to step up.
The Firewalk
Over the weekend, hundreds took on the challenge – from teens finding their inner warrior to parents showing their kids what it looks like to face fear head-on. The prep sessions were filled with laughter, a few nerves, and plenty of “I can’t believe I’m actually going to do this” moments.
The walk itself? Pure magic. Watching people transform in seconds – going from hesitant to “I DID IT!” – is exactly why we love what we do. And when the crowd cheers, you feel it right in your bones.
Mini Golf Mayhem
It wasn’t just about firewalking – our custom mini golf course had everyone from 5-year-olds to grandads showing off their putting skills. We saw competitive streaks, plenty of hole-in-ones, and some questionable victory dances. And yes… we’re still debating who was more competitive – the kids or the grown-ups.
Moments We’ll Never Forget
- That one participant who danced across the coals like it was a catwalk.
- The family who all walked together, hand-in-hand (and yes, we got a little emotional).
- The mini golf player who declared hole 7 their “nemesis” and came back later… just to beat it.
Gone Wild 2025 wasn’t just an event – it was a reminder of why we do this.
